Football is the greatest sport in the Netherlands. The Dutch football is known throughout the world. Usually there is played offensive by Orange (as the team is called) and that makes the games very exciting and beautiful to see. The spectator is really fun and enjoy it and that is something what it is about. This year AZ is the champion. AZ is a club from Alkmaar, a city just north of Amsterdam. This is the first time in many years that not one of the Big Three Ajax Amsterdam, PSV Eindhoven or Rotterdam Feijenoord champion has become. AZ is coached by coach Louis van Gaal. He has an impressive career behind him as coach of top clubs like Barcelona and Ajax. Now began the 2008/2009 football season is not as good for AZ and the first races were all lost.But suddenly came the turning point and began a race for the championship with Ajax and PSV. Louis van Gaal always tries to do everything in keeping. Even the chance he wants in the grip through everything very thorough preparation. Ajax still could be able to became champions and had to play against PSV. Ajax LOST that game with 5-1, one of the largest defeat in club history. That’s why AZ could be able to be a champion, and the setback of the previous day quickly forgotten. The President of AZ, bank manager of the largest sponsor Dirk Scheringa Bank (DSB), was a happy man. And the fans were of course very proud of their club.
